What is hypertension or High blood pressure?

If blood pressure increases for a longer period (12 months) than normal blood pressure, then it is called hypertension (HTN or HT) highblood pressure (HBP).

Symptoms of High Blood Pressure (HBP)

Usually, most people do not have any signs or symptoms of hypertension. Some people who have high blood pressure may found symptoms including –

Severe headache
Fatigue or confusion
Vision problems
Chest pain
Difficulty breathing
Irregular heartbeat
Blood in the urine
Pounding in your chest, neck, or ears
Generally, these symptoms occur in severe cases of hypertension.

When to call a doctor for HBP?

When you feel the above symptoms
When you are over 30 and you are worried about high blood pressure
Once the doctor determines that you have high blood pressure
If your family has a history of high blood pressure

How to prevent high blood pressure

Healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, cereals and low-fat foods should be eaten
The amount of salt in the food will be reduced
Body weight should be kept right
Physical activities or work will be increase
You must refrain from smoking
Do not worry and do not put extra pressure
